Truly ripe tomatoes don't need much.
Tomatoes, varied by type and color, sliced
Olive oil (for serving)
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Fresh herbs (such as basil, chives, chervil, and/or parsley; for serving)
Arrange tomato slices on a platter. Dress with oil, season with salt and pepper, then top with herbs.
